Trust and safety
Safer Direct Remote Hiring
We use profile information, identity signals and employer checks to help people make better hiring decisions — while being honest about what checks can and cannot promise.
- Worker profiles reviewed for completeness and identity signals
- Paying employers complete a basic verification step
- Individuals only — no agencies or shared profiles
What We Check
Worker profile verification
Worker profiles are reviewed for completeness and basic identity signals. A more complete, consistent profile is easier to trust — but a profile is a starting point, not a guarantee.
Employer verification
Paying employers complete a basic verification step so workers can see they are dealing with a real business rather than an anonymous account.
Individuals-only policy
Every worker profile must represent a single person. Agencies, BPOs and shared-team profiles are not permitted, and reported breaches are removed.
What Verification Does Not Guarantee
It does not guarantee performance, payment, future behaviour, legal compliance or suitability. Always do your own checks before you hire or accept work.
Do Your Own Checks
Recommended employer checks
- Interview the person directly
- Ask for relevant work samples
- Start with a small paid trial task
- Agree pay, hours and terms in writing
Recommended worker checks
- Confirm the business is real
- Never pay to receive a job
- Agree pay and terms before starting
- Keep communication on record
Reporting Suspicious Activity
If a profile or an employer asks a worker for payment, behaves suspiciously or appears to be an agency posing as an individual, report it. We review reports and remove accounts that break the rules.
